The Israeli military has disclosed that it launched air attacks on Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip, Palestine, in response to rockets fired from Gaza.
The military declared on Sunday that the attacks hit a rocket manufacturing facility and a Hamas military post.
The statement read “As fireworks lit up the skies to celebrate the New Year, a different type of fire came from the Gaza terrorist rocket toward Israel.”
“In response, we returned and struck Hamas sites in Gaza, which included a rocket manufacturing site & military posts used for terrorist activity. There were no casualties from our end on Saturday’s attack.”
Both Israel and Palestine have been at wars for a long. A May 2020 air raid on Gaza, killed more than 260 Palestinia, including women and children.
With repeated attacks, Israel has restricted movement in Gaza which has adversely affected the territory’s economy.
